The National Historic Landmark Ahuena Heiau, Kamehameha I's personal and final residence, was the center of Hawaiian power in their Kingdom. Kamehameha used this site as a gathering place for his kahuna (priests) and advisors to counsel and guide himself and his successor, Kamehameha II . Their Aloha spirit remains here.
